Okemos Death: The Okemos High School community is mourning a student who tragically passed away unexpectedly. This week a student died from an apparent suicide following a battle with depression.
According to reports, officials were called to the scene after a student shot themselves in the head in an apparent suicide. The student was confirmed dead at the scene of the incident. The Okemos Public Schools announced that mental health counselors will be available at the school for anyone affected by the sudden tragic event. Prayers have been called for the bereaved family and the school community at large.
