Nawlage Death: The 978 Dancehall community is mourning the tragic death of a singer, reggae dancehall artist, and Lawrence, MA resident who tragically died this week. American Dancehall Artist Aquiles Espinosa also known by the stage name Nawlage2k5 passed away in his sleep on Friday.
According to law enforcement agencies, the body of a 35-year-old man was found at a home in Boston, MA. Edward Dynasty released a sorrowful tribute to the beloved father, on Facebook: “I’m crying as I write this. We shared a lot of good times together performing live you and me holding Dancehall down for 15 years. I can’t believe you’re gone my brother. I will always love you and cherish you. I appreciate everything that you’ve done you will always have a special place in my heart, I was just actually going to call you to let you know that you have a song that I love and wanted to take a piece of the hook so I could do a Reggaeton song inspired by you. He grew up in Lawrence, Massachusetts, and first became known for his performances at local New England events. Law enforcement agencies and EMS were called to a home for an unresponsive man report. According to reports, Espinosa was found unresponsinve inside his home. EMS attempted multiple life saving measure but he died on the scene. A family member said he was confirmed dead after he failed to wake up from his sleep.
In 2012, they approached French Montana with the goal of featuring him on the remix to his 2006 single “Husband or Wife” with the help of longtime friend Jay Walker and Free World Muzic. French Montana and Chinx enjoyed the song so much that they later asked for permission to include it on Coke Boys 3, which was released on April 13, 2012.

After some hesitancy from Nawlage’s former camp, French Montana and his team abandoned the concept and instead used Freaks (a French Montana song) with Nicki Minaj as the album’s single.
In 2013, Lou Armstrong approached Nawlage about a partnership. “Looks Like She Wants It” was created by J. Cardim and featured French Montana. Although production had begun, the video starring Cardi B was never published. In November 2016, Nawlage was featured on Ben Mader’s tune “City of Tings” alongside Dreezy.
